To provide our matchmaking services, we must collect specific personal and professional information depending on your account type. All collection is purpose-driven — we only ask for what we genuinely need.
For Candidates
- Profile Data: Name, email, phone, date of birth, gender, and geographic location.
- Professional Data: Resumes, educational history, GPA, skill sets, employment history, and portfolio links.
- Platform Activity: Search history, saved jobs, and applications submitted through the platform.
For Employers
- Company Data: Company name, website, industry, headquarters location, and company size.
- Verification Data: Official business identifiers such as GST or CIN numbers provided during account verification.
- Representative Data: Name, email, and phone of the HR representative managing the account.
How We Use & Share Your Information
InternsKart never sells your personal information to third-party data brokers or marketing agencies.
Candidate Visibility
Your resume, contact details, and profile data are kept completely private and are only shared with an employer when you explicitly click "Apply" on their specific listing. Employers cannot freely browse candidate resumes unless you opt into a public profile.
Employer Visibility
Job listings, company descriptions, and logos are made public to attract candidates. Backend verification documents (GST/CIN) remain strictly confidential and are never exposed publicly.
System Communications
We use your email for platform alerts — application status updates, interview requests, password resets, and job alerts. Job alert emails can be opted out of at any time from your dashboard settings.
Data Security & Your Rights
Security Protocols
All passwords are hashed using industry-standard Bcrypt algorithms. Resumes and logos are stored in isolated, secure server directories inaccessible to the public web.
Data Retention
We retain your profile information and application history as long as your account remains active, giving you a complete historical record of your career journey on the platform.
Right to Be Forgotten
You have total control. Update or correct your information at any time via your dashboard. Request permanent deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting our support team.
